How to: Prevent Crew Sign On when Course/Certification is Expired

Merlot has the ability to block crew members from signing on  for an operating duty  in CrewPortal and CrewMobile when a Course or Certification has expired.


If crew is expired for a course or certification that has Seat Requirement selected in Manage Qualification Definitions, he will not be allowed to sign on for an operating duty in CrewPortal or CrewMobile

Please note : Crew members that are expired for a CRITICAL Course/ Certification are no longer allowed to Sign On from CrewMobile. All other courses would not be displayed in the Alerts message during sign on.


Step-by-step guide:

Open CrewPlan

Select Tools >> Manage Qualification Definitions and tick the Seat Requirement checkbox

Also Check if in the Expiry Tab, the Rule Level is set to CRITICAL else it would not be displayed in Crew Mobile alerts during sign on.

When a crew has expired on this course and signs on for his duty, he will receive an Alert Message "You are not valid to operate" when signing on for duty in CrewPortal and CrewMobile
