OR

How to set up an account access to AircraftPortal for a port?

OR

How to add a user to be able to view the AircraftPortal at any of the ports:

        BKK (Bangkok)

        CGK (Jakarta)

        KUL (Kuala Lumpur)

        MES (Medan)

        SIN (Singapore)

Its important to note that AircraftPortal works off an authenticated port to determine which is the reference point to display when the user logs in. That is what we are trying to set below.

ADDING AircraftPortal Users

1 – First add the user – follow instructions at: [http://wiki.merlot.aero/CoreHelps.790-04_03.ashx]

These are added something like – SIN.apt, mes.apt, bkk.apt etc.

2 – Add the newly created user to the UserGroup for portal users – e.g. AircraftPortalUserGroup – i.e. [http://wiki.merlot.aero/CoreHelps.790-04_03.ashx]. The customer may have their own UserGroup here, so be sure to ask

3 – Go to user preferences and change the user with the Authenticated port to the airport IATA code – in this case SIN

  • Go to UserPreferences and wait for the preferences to load
  • Select the Users radio button
  • Enter the User ID into the cell (e.g. sin.apt or what ever the username was you entered, remembering it is case sensitive) then tab into the next cell (enter doesn't work here).
  • This will load all of the preferences.
  • Filter for Preference = ‘Authenticated’ – then press TAB – this should show you the AuthenticatedPort preference – change this to the IATA code of the port – ie SIN
  • Then hit SAVE

4 – login to the Portal with the new user ID i.e. - [http://riportal.merlot.aero/aircraft]
