How to: Use the Direct Trade Feature

A "Direct Trade" is classified as a request from one crew member directly to another via CrewPortal to trade or swap a specific set of pairings on a specific date. Direct Trades require two (2) crew members, an initiator and a target crew member that will accept or counter offer the Direct Trade request. The viability of the trade is directly linked to whether it conforms to the regulatory and company rules as found in the operator's rule set. An initiating crew member has the option of searching directly for another crew member or searching for specific pairings based on the pairing work type (e.g. they could search for crew members with a day off on a specific date).

Step-by-step Guide

Crew A (Initiator)

  1. After logging on to CrewPortal, (Please see: Register to CrewPortal), select the "Trip Trade" or "Swaps" icon (this is customizable)  and then select ‘Direct Trade’ from the Actions list.
