How to open your CMS-Merlot Application Suite in Microsoft Edge browser
Microsoft announced that the Internet Explorer 11 desktop application will be retired and go out of support on June 15, 2022 (for a list of what’s in scope, see the FAQ). The same IE11 apps and sites you use today like the CMS-Merlot Application Suite, can open in Microsoft Edge with Internet Explorer mode. Learn more here.
This How To applies to Microsoft Edge version 77 or later.
IE Mode and Silverlight is needed for the Crew Operations applications, such as AircraftFollow, CrewFollow, CrewRoster, CrewTraining, Configure.
IE Mode is not needed for crew-facing apps, such as CrewPortal.

Step-by-step guide
Launch Microsoft Edge and enter your CMS-Merlot Application Suite URL on the address bar to confirm Internet Explorer mode is not yet enabled.
On the upper right-hand (Edge Toolbar) click the … button to show Settings and more (Shortcut Alt+F4).
Click Settings.
Enter the word Internet Explorer on the Search settings bar.
On the Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode option select Allow on the drop-down selection.
Click the Restart button.
After Microsoft Edge re-launches, manually open it if not, go to Settings once more and enter the word Internet Explorer on the Search settings bar. Flick the Internet Explorer mode button to enable. A new disabled icon will appear on the Edge Toolbar.
Enter your CMS-Merlot Application Suite URL on the address bar and click the Internet Explorer mode button to reload the page.
Enable this option if you want Microsoft Edge to remember opening your CMS-Merlot Application Suite URL in Internet Explorer mode by default.
Click Done.
